  Posso falar com...? May I speak to ...?  

  Quando ele/ela volta? When will he/she return?  

  Posso deixar meu nome e telefone? May I leave my name and phone number?  

  Posso deixar recado? May I leave a message?  

  O meu nome é... My name is ...  

  O meu telefone é... My phone number is...  

  Desculpa, eu não falo português Sorry, I don't speak Portuguese  

  Eu falo só um pouco de português I speak only a little Portuguese  

  onde posso telefonar? wher can I call ?  

  Posso usar o telefone? May I use the phone ?  

  Quem está falando? Who' s talking ?  

   

Numbers from 0 to 9 are

0 zero

1 um

2 dois

3 três

4 quatro

5 cinco

6 seis

7 sete

8 oito

9 nove

When reading phone numbers it is common to say meia instead of seis. Meia means half, in this context meaning half a dozen. It is used because it is easy to mix seis with três. (Obrigado Glaucia)
